The Boise Market has seen such growth the last 4 years I thought it would be fun to take a look at the numbers of Bank owned homes that are on the market now vs over the last few years. Reo’s, or Real Estate Owned are the properties that actually go back to the banks. Short sales obviously put a dent in Bank Owned Homes In Boisethe number of properties that went back to banks. With the Boise real estate market back to roughly pre crash highs, it is hard to imagine how there can even be 14 sales over this last month. Be that as it may, there were.

Huckleberry Jam Music Festival

                Music lovers, get ready for yet another great music festival near Boise! The Huckleberry Jam Music Festival kicks off Thursday August 11th and is McCall Is Awesome In August!sure to be a blast. This year worldwide superstar Michael Franti and the Spearheads. Rhodes Skatepark

Element 304 American Grand Opening

Rhodes Skatepark in downtown Boise has been a staple of the skating community in Boise for a very long time. However, recently it has received a stellar upgrade. It is safe to say that Rhodes Skatepark will be the best skatepark in the entire state on its grand opening day. That day, as it happens, is tomorrow Saturday August 6th. As if the opening of a world class skatepark right in Boise isn’t good enough. Element, who’s founder Johnny Schillereff was impressed Boise Urban Livingwith Boise upon encountering it for the first time, has decided to open a skate shop adjacent to the skatepark.

Mt. McGowen Near Stanley

               Idaho’s wilderness is massive and untamed, with plenty of spaces to explore. The area surrounding Boise is no exception. One great way to explore this wilderness is camping. Pack up the essentials and rough it for a night or 5. Some good places to check out close to Boise are the Payette river near banks, the McCall area, the Stanley area, and the Featherville area.

                If you are looking for a quick overnighter close to Boise. You should check out the Payette river around Banks. At banks the North and South Forks of the Payette come together to form the Main Payette which then continues to flow South. This means that there are plenty of miles of river to camp by. Eagle Saturday MarketEagle Saturday Market

Every Saturday at Heritage Park, the small community of Eagle, Idaho comes together to host an event which is anything but small. There are numerous vendors with products ranging from art and jam’s to wine and fresh produce. Every Saturday starting at 9:30 get every thing you need for a beautiful home and healthy table. On a recent rip to the market we found an array of arts and crafts along with local produce, herbs and flowers, woodwork, specialty food items and freshly prepared food. We ended up with home made jam, a cool wooden cane, cucumbers and corn and a loaf of the best bread ever! On top of this, the market is always filled with the sounds of local musicians playing.
