The count down is on to the biggest golf event of the year in Idaho! 3 months and 11 days to be exact. There are a lot of new and exciting things happening at this year’s Albertson’s Boise Open. For the 27th year in a row Boise golf fans get to enjoy world class golf at a world class venue, the Hillcrest Country Club! The big news for 2016 is that the tournament has Albertsons Boise Open Web.com tour finalbeen elevated to one of the four Web. com finals tournaments for the Web. com tour. This year’s golfers are competing for copious amounts of prize money from the $1,000,000 dollar purse. More importantly, they will be competing for the highly coveted 25 PGA player cards that will be awarded to the top contestants at the 4 web.com finals tournaments. Combine the Increase in prize money and the chance for the players to earn their PGA cards and attendees can expect to see some pretty intense golf. The other big news is the tournament has moved back to September to be a part of the Web. com finals field! That will make for some beautiful indian summer weather to watch these top tier golfers crush it. Include elevated prestige, the brilliant Boise weather in September with all of the extracurricular activities like the junior golf clinic, live music after selected rounds and the free pancake breakfast for all ticket holders is on Sunday at 9 am, sponsored by Yoplait & Nature Valley. There is fun to be had from sun up to sun down.

The Hershey Company Pro-am will be held each day from Monday September 12 to Wednesday September 14 at Hillcrest Country Club, Crane Creek Country Club and The Club At Spurwing . The shotgun start will be at a different area course each day and have different starting times. Check the home page for times and locations.

Family day web,com Albertsons Boise OpenFamily day moves to Wednesday this year. Complete with face painting, mascots, games and more. The Hillcrest Country Club will hold the free Idaho Statesman Junior clinic at 5:00 pm on Wednesday.

The Michelob Ultra Rockin The Fairway concert series will feature live music on 3 nights starting after the last putt drops at around 7. Held on-site at Hillcrest Country Club Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings. The lineup includes Marcus Eaton, a Boise native, who will perform on Thursday, July 9th. Happy Hour begins at 5 Pm, hosted by Hillcrest Country Club. On Friday night, Pilot Error will rock your spikes right off. Saturday brings the David Andrews band to the mic for the finale to the musical festivities.
