 Video Transcription.....Sunrise's in Boise are beautiful, full moon over the Boise front with Shafer Butte and Bogus Basin at highest point, horse in Meridian, flyfishing in Boise River for native brown trout, As part of the pacific northwest it is only natural that there is a barrista on every corner, balloons have been popular here for 30 years, Idaho State Capital building, downtown Boise is clean, safe with lots of fun restaurants, arts, music, brew pubs, Saturday markets and more, statues on The Grove which is a courtyard where Alive After 5 is held every Wednesday in the summers with live music and appetizers, inside shot of Trader Joes in Boise, farming is still a big part of life in Meridian and surrounding areas, running, walking, biking are all popular on the Boise greenbelt, Idaho is the whitewater state with more miles of white water than any other 2 states combined, kayaking on the Payette river, Boise has easy access to wake boarding, water skiing, fishing swimming and cliff jumping at Lucky Peak reservoir 15 minutes from downtown, as well as many other spots with in a 1-2 hour drive, gardening of either flowers or edibles is easy with the warm sunny summers that Boise residents love to brag about, horseback riders enjoy an afternoon along the Boise river, dogs and animal lovers both love a romp in the cool waters of the Boise river too, arts are everywhere including Ballet Idaho, the Basque population is alive and well in the greater Boise area which boasts the largest basque population of Basque's outside of France and Spain, here you see the Onkari Basque dancers preforming, Boise is not only kid heaven it is like Andy's Mayberry on steroids, kids rope swing into local pond along the Boise greenbelt, old barns are cool in Star, Bogus Basin Mountain Resort is a local treasure and operates as a non-profit, it is inexpensive, 40 minutes from downtown Boise and has high speed quads and cross country skiing, wildlife is everywhere in and around Boise from squirrels to turkeys, deer with the occasional bear or cougar spotting, Boise Art Museum or BAM, The Boise Philharmonic preforms year round, Boise has more outdoor recreation than you can even imagine including water skiing and rafting, Boise has plenty of golf courses, fore or is it four, Horse racing at Les Bois Park is in jeopardy because of politics, Ridge to Rivers trail system is a world class network of trails in the foothills from Lucky Peak to Eagle for hiking and mountain biking, road riding is popular too, The Twilght Criterium held in downtown Boise at dusk each summer is as fun for the spectators as it is for the cyclists, Glass blowing studios with classes are fun, Shopping...check that off the list, BAM again, a large variety of fine and casual dining in the downtown core including enough brew pubs that I can't even tell you how many there are now, Idaho and the greater Boise area are in the Snake River Valley american viticultural area and the fine wines produced here win awards year after year, Boise has great fall colors, hey, we are the city of trees after all, yes potatoes and wheat grows here to, Motorcycle riders will love all the winding state highways for cruising on your harley davidson, horse ballet or dressage along with about every other horse, mule, llama sheep and goat activity abound, complete with 4h for the kids, Spirit of Boise Balloon Rally hosts the night glow event it is cool, 8th and Idaho in downtown Boise is near the center of the late night activity in downtown Boise, fountain at Meridians largest shopping and eating venue, The Village in Meridian, Boise State University Bronco Football, enough said, Semi pro sports like hockey and baseball are an inexpensive alternative to the hundreds you have to spend to see major league sports, Idaho Steelheads Hockey and the Boise Hawks Baseball which is a club affiliate of the Cubs are both fun but I perfer the action and excitment of hockey more, live music at outlaw field under the stars followed up by a little dancing downtown or some late night sushi at Shiges or Lucky Fins are popular activities for the young or the young at heart! The video misses a few things that Boise has to offer, like how safe it is here, how clean it is here and how everybody is warm and friendly which give the greater Boise area a community feeling of a small town all packaged up as America's best small city!
