Grandpa Goes Golfing With AdamRead More About The Banbury Golf Club-....The setting along the banks of the Boise river takes advantage of the riparian topography and great views of Bogus Basin. Lots of water accentuates the difficulty of this championship styled golf course. This John Harbottle III designed course is more than just a place to play a round. A challenging course at par 71 and 6891 yards, it is a great place to learn the game. A super driving range and practice putting greens compliment the Pga staff. The club house is also an events center, plan your next wedding reception or graduation party here as the setting is divine. The Banbury Restaurant is a great place to grab a bite before or after a round. Their menu is reasonably priced and well-rounded with salads, sandwiches etc. Last year Banbury Golf Club Hosted the Idaho State Men’s Amateur Championship, and The Idaho 5a High school Championship. Spring leagues for men and women are popular and you won’t want to miss out on Monday Night Madness!
An expansive juniors program that includes spring and fall academies, a spring break camp, a variety of summer camps and clinics for juniors is the best in the valley. New to the Banbury Golf Club in 2017 is the Boomers and Challengers league, a noncompetitive league for beginning golfers. The boomers program is design for kids 4-10 and requires assistance from the parents and is designed as a fun introduction to the game of golf with a 5 hole scramble included. The Challengers program is a 7 week course that will focus more on instruction of the fundamentals. For youths ages 8-16 wanting to improve and explore their love of the game. Numbers are limited so get signed up now. The fall lineup also includes an academy and boomer league!
Whats up at Banbury for 2017? A multifaceted seasons pass program is again on the slate for this year. Choices of limited, unlimited and pay to play along with a few others. Basically they have some sort of pass option for those who want to spend the bulk of their golf rounds playing at The Banbury Golf Club. The Idaho Golf Association will hold its annual kickoff best ball here on March 4 and 5.
