This is a major benefit because downtown Boise is the entertainment and business hub of the treasure valley and arguably the entire state. The entertainment options available in the area are no slouch either. Roaring Springs Water Park is located right in Southwest Meridian. It is an outstanding water park with numerous attractions. There are several massive water slides such as Viper’s Vortex and Thunder Falls. On top of this, there are also two new water slides. The three story tall Corkscrew Cavern and the six story tall Cliffhanger. Both of these new attractions promise to be fan favorites. Besides the water slides there are also many other features which have splashed their way into the hearts of Boise residents for years. These include the lazy river, the wave pool, many ordinary pools, and a wonderful area for the children to play in. Just next door is every kid’s favorite birthday destination, Wahooz Family Fun Zone. The place lives up to the name, there is truly fun for the whole family at Wahooz. There is a massive arcade, a bowling alley, a food court, a mini-golf course, a go-kart track, and a bumper boats pool. Wahooz is a guaranteed good time. Add in the shopping and Saturday farmers market and you will struggle to find the time to fit it all in.
In Southwest Meridian, practically subdivision has the potential for terrific mountain and sunset views. Due to the lack of many large structures to obscure the mountains on either side of the valley, the mountain views of Southwest Meridian are to die for. To the North, one will see the majestic pine covered Boise front, twinkling with the lights of Bogus Basin ski resort in the winter. And to the South one will see the massive Owyhee mountains. There snowcapped peaks never fail to elicit awe. The Butte near Emmett sticks out like a sore thumb when snow covered. The Butte is cute.
The mountain views are so terrific in Southwest Meridian, that the high school is named after them. Mountain View High School is the most populated high school in the state, and thanks to these numbers have been able to higher some of the best staff in the state. This staff along with a terrific student body, has created a sense of community and togetherness within the high school. A truly wonderful environment in which to learn about the world. On top of this, Mountain View has a very good athletic tradition of winning. Any athlete would be lucky to attend such and accomplished school.
