If the outdoors isn’t for you, there are still numerous ways to enjoy yourself in Meridian itself. Just South of the freeway are two of the most popular places to spend a free day in the entire valley. Roaring Springs Water Park and Wahooz Family Fun Zone. Roaring Springs is an outstanding Water Park and the best one in all of Idaho. It boasts numerous attractions including a massive wave pool, long snaking lazy river, lovely play area for the children, elegant swimming area, as well as multiple exhilarating water slides. In fact, the park has added two brand new ones this year. Corkscrew Cavern is a three story drop with a massive corkscrew in the middle that will whip the rider around at incredible speeds. Care for a little free fall? Cliffhanger is the ride for you. A 6-story straight down drop. Enough said. Wahooz, just next door, is loaded for fun as well. It hosts a variety of attractions, including a laser tag arena, a game arcade, go bowling or race a go-kart, follow that up with a round of putt putt golf and bumper boats. Meridian is a blast to say the least.
Even though Northwest Meridian is on the edge of Meridian, no one looking to purchase Northwest Meridian real estate is going to be disappointed with a lack of convenience when shopping for every day needs. The area is well stocked with any type of grocery store or shop you may desire. Anything from the high end Boise Consumer Co-op on Eagle road, to no less than three Walmart’s which are located in Meridian.
If you want to go even higher end shopping than the Co-op, you will have to go check out the Whole Foods in downtown Boise. Lucky for you, the freeway is at most 3 miles from your home. From there it is a short 15 to 25 minute drive to downtown Boise and the glory that is Whole Foods. Whole Foods isn’t the only thing there is to do in the city. Downtown is speckled with several terrific grocery stores, numerous shops, and dozens if not hundreds of wonderful places to grab a meal. This all without mentioning the movie theater and the weekly summer music venue right in the heart of the city. Can’t go wrong with downtown Boise.
