So if you attended the Boise Home Show last year there is plenty new to see at the 2017 Boise Home Show! At the Boise Spring Home & Garden Show you will find the tools and tips to try your hand a bringing a new look to your home or a contractor to take care of everything from the sagging gutters to a chiropractor if you throw your back out putting in your new back yard! Speaking of new backyards the show has a heavy landscaping bent, seed it, sod it or sprinkle it. Everything you need is right here. Just check out the list below of the different merchants, vendors, dealers and service providers. Everything from appliances to windows and doors!

Ok so you are going to sell a home in Boise or Meridian. How do you decide what to tackle and what to leave alone. If you want top dollar you need a product that compares well to new construction as that will be your main competition. Make a list of the 5 items that are in the biggest need. Assign a guesstimate of what you think it might cost to do. For example a $2,000 square foot home can be re-carpeted for about $2500. Interior repaint of a 2000 square foot home is about $3500. Point being do not guess to high. A large number of the vendors will have special deals and concessions at the home show that they will not make next Tuesday. “Is that the best you can do” type of questioning will often get a perc or a little better deal. Timing is everything here if there are 30 people crowded around and you ask the gutter guy for a break he is going to say no as he is in essence providing the same savings to everyone listening. Another good strategy to get a deal is to whistle under your breathe and explain you had ABC gutters out last week and they were quite a bit less… You get the idea. One last thing, price check on your phone while you are there. Last year my friend got a bid on a gazebo and was about to pull the trigger before his wife found almost the exact same model for $600 less on line! Yes he had to wait a couple of weeks for it to arrive but in the end, same gazebo with $600 in your pocket is worth 2 weeks!
