Owyhee River Rocks, Chukars, Rafting!

Here is a road side cut and a great example of the awesome rock strata along the Owyhee river. Formed as molten lava far underground, the red rhyolite's is super hard and very resistant to erosion. It accounts for many of the awesome canyons that you will find when rafting, hunting or rock hounding the Oregon or Idaho canyonlands. Visiting this unique ecosytem is a unique every time!
