Idaho started introducing chukars in the 1930's and hunters have reaped the benefit of many fine days in the field and at the dinner table. When accompanied by a great pointing dog the joy of filling the frying pan is extraordinary to say the least.
Chukars inhabit the exact place in this world that most sane people definitely do not want to go for a hike in. It can be and usually is hell on your legs, gear ,lungs and truck!
